Hurricanes In Florida
For Florida residents, the threat of hurricanes is very real. Due to Florida’s long coastline and location, the state frequently finds itself in the path of these intense storms. While areas like Miami and the panhandle take the brunt of these storms, history has proven the Tampa Bay Area is not immune.
Standard glass windows and doors can make a structure vulnerable during a storm. While there is no such thing as hurricane-proof glass, we can use Florida-approved impact-resistant windows and doors to lower the risk of damage. Even if you are building structures that are not required by the Florida building code to utilize impact-resistant glass windows and doors, it is a good idea as storms grow more intense and come further inland.
